Beat til stiff: 4 egg whites w/ 3 sprinkles of cream of tarter. Add 1/2 c sugar and 1t vanilla. Mix in another bowl: 1/2 c sugar 1/4 c cocoa 1/8t salt 1c chopped pecans. Fold this into egg whites slowly. Pile into buttered pie dish. Bake 30 min. at 350 deg. Pie will be fluffy and will settle when cool.
WHILE COOLING:(filling)
Beat 1/2 pt. whipping cream with 3T sugar and 2t cocoa. Pile on top of cooled crust and refrig. several hours.
